If you select public, you allow anyone with the link to your profile to see that specific Monolog. We may also feature public Monologs on our social media. Though we encourage building your Monolog community, you are welcome to keep all your posts private and use the app for individual purposes only.

On Monolog, you can connect with others in two distinct ways: by following or befriending. Following is a one-way connection where either party can see only the public posts of the other, allowing you to stay updated without deeper interaction. Befriending is a two-way connection that grants access to each other’s friends-only posts, fostering closer interaction while keeping private posts visible only to the creator. We've tried to do away with some toxic elements of other social media. We have no likes, no friend counts. The social elements are designed for you to keep tabs on people you genuinely care about and spark deep irl conversations. We call this soulful social.
